00:03:30FromDiscord<Robyn [She/Her]> ehhh I'll implement it if I need it and if this actually becomes something I think is better as a developed lib
00:12:24FromDiscord<yummy_licorice> What is someone who programs in nim called

09:36:34FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> I still like the forum allows you to see the fully original message still
09:36:45FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Apparently someone thougnt "Nimmasters" was a funny joke
09:47:21FromDiscord<odexine> I don’t see the joke
09:52:44FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> That makes 2 of usu
09:52:44FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> us\
09:55:29FromDiscord<pmunch> It still requires some browser debugging though doesn't it?
09:55:36FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> It's the typical old man screaming at the clouds over things like `master` changing
09:55:46FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> I mean you get the entire json back so there is no futzing
09:56:04FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Can read all the deleted messages
09:57:17FromDiscord<pmunch> Oh yeah, but you still need to go poking around the request/responses. There's no button on the forum
09:58:03FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Right, but the forum likely shouldn't send everyone the supposedly deleted messages
10:08:44FromDiscord<nnsee> just thought about what someone who writes Zig would be called, and the first thing that popped into my head didn't seem, uh, PC
10:09:06FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Damn the Z word
10:19:03FromDiscord<zumi.dxy> officially they're called Ziguanas
10:21:12FromDiscord<nnsee> so we should be Nimpalas?

11:32:54FromDiscord<janakali> In reply to @firasuke "Is the following define": I believe it's for internal use, because it's enabled by default in Nim >= 2.0↵https://play.nim-lang.org/#pasty=SjbqCqXo
11:35:08FromDiscord<firasuke> Oh ok, makes sense, thanks
11:37:49FromDiscord<janakali> @firasuke oh actually it's a flag for runtime version and it's enabled with arc/orc, and disabled when using refc or markandsweep GC https://nim-lang.github.io/Nim/intern.html#runtimes
11:37:57FromDiscord<luteva> Is it possible to mix types and values into a type? I get:↵Error: Mixing types and values in tuples is not allowed.↵for tuples. But maybe this is possible somehow?!?

22:17:24FromDiscord<.tokyovigilante> If I have an array of a specific int type, can I declare this easily as a one-liner without specifying a length? eg `const 32BitArray: array[uint32] = [0x12345678, 0x12345678,...]`
22:18:28FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> remove the type annotation
22:18:28FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Make the first value `u32`
22:18:29FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> You did it
22:18:34FromDiscord<.tokyovigilante> nice, ta
22:20:23FromDiscord<.tokyovigilante> and then `32BitArray[0].addr` is equivalent to `uint32_t 32BitArray` in C?
22:20:31FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Yes
22:20:42FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Though so is `32bitArray.addr`
22:21:50FromDiscord<.tokyovigilante> ok, I see `/home/ryan/Projects/Develop/tsunami/src/tsunami/renderer/vulkan/vulkan_impl.nim(946, 12) Error: type mismatch: got 'ptr array[0..323, uint32]' for 'addr(glslShaderVertSpv)' but expected 'ptr uint32'` when just using `32bitArray.addr` though. Getting the first element's address works fine
22:22:11FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> Right you'd have to cast it to remove the type information
22:22:15FromDiscord<.tokyovigilante> ah yup
22:22:31FromDiscord<Elegantbeef> `array[0..323` uhhhh that's a hell of an array literal
22:22:49FromDiscord<.tokyovigilante> it's bytecode for a vulkan shader in SPIR-V format
